Patrick Walsh is the founder and CEO of Dogpatch Labs, Ireland’s leading entrepreneurship and innovation hub, which houses a mix of startups, international tech companies, social enterprises and corporate off-site innovation hubs. Dogpatch has been home to many of Ireland’s fastest-growing tech companies, including Intercom, which has gone on to raise over $240 million in venture financing.
Dogpatch Labs is part of an exclusive global network of 75+ international startup hubs backed by Google and also has partnerships with other corporates, including Unilever. It also runs the NDRC, Ireland’s national startup accelerator programme, in partnership with regional hubs Portershed, Republic of Work, and RDI Hub.
Patrick Walsh is a member of Ireland’s National Competitiveness Council, a roundtable of government bodies and business leaders from across Ireland. Previously, he worked in a high-growth Irish tech company (Ding.com), an early stage startup (PayMins.com) and an international tech company setting up in Ireland (Hassle.com). He is a qualified chartered accountant, having trained with KPMG for three years.
